#85funfacts - The Raven Lift replaced the 34-year-old Dickey double chairlift for the 2006-07 ski season. The Raven has roughly the same location as the Dickey Lift. The high-speed detachable quad, was the. first for Wolf Creek, and can get skiers and snowboarders to the top of the lift in approximately two minutes!

#85funfacts - Otto Mears, grandfather to Kingsbury Pitcher (patriarch of the Pitcher Family) was known as the Pathfinder of the San Juan Mountains. Otto was known for his road construction and railroad building, specifically in the San Juan region. Mears also started a U.S. Mail Route in the region via transporting mail on skis. The bar in the Upper Lodge was renamed The Pathfinder Bar in 1999 as a nod to the legendary figure.
