About Wolf Creek

An exceptional variety of terrain, abundant snowfall and plenty of powder days makes Wolf Creek a place for everyone to enjoy.  Exploring all varieties of terrain is simple with a refined lift system inclusive of eleven lifts total, ranging from high-speed detachable quads and triple chairlifts to rolling conveyors.  Wolf Creek has gradual sloping, wide green runs for beginners to excellent expert terrain.  Tree skiing is endless and advanced skiers and boarders have many chutes, glades, bowls, ridges and steeps to choose from that give an in-bounds backcountry experience.  Finding intermediate groomers to cruise down isn’t hard to find either.

The low-density skiing experience at Wolf Creek Ski Area makes Wolf Creek a destination hot spot for powder hounds, families and new skiers alike.  Wolf Creek stands out from other ski areas in Colorado not only for being family owned and operated, but also for a formulated lift and trail system making terrain for everyone easily accessible.

Lift Etiquette
  • Be an active participant every time you load the lift; be prepared before loading
  • Take Lift Safety seriously; each ride, always put down your restraint bar
  • Follow and comply with all posted instructions
  • Slow down before approaching the entrance to a lift
  • Ask for assistance if you are unfamiliar with the lifts
  • Quickly move away from unloading areas

Wolf Creek Sidebounds Hikes

Wolf Creek is known for the excellent in-bounds backcountry experience along with abundant snowfall and powder days.  Untouched powder is easy to find in our hike-to terrain areas.  Skiers and boarders have a variety of hikes to get them to Wolf Creek’s legendary chutes, glades, bowls and ridges.
