Ski and Snowboard Lessons for Children Ages 5 to 8

Wolf Pup Building

The Wolf Pup Building is a special place for children to meet, enjoy lunch and snacks and utilize restroom facilities with easy access to the children’s lesson area.  The lesson area has it’s own Magic Carpet Lift (conveyor belt style) exclusively for the children’s programs as well as easy access to the Nova Lift.  The Wolf Pup Building (Location 6) is it’s own building located just uphill from the Wolf Creek Lodge.

The Wolf Pup Building has it’s own chef who prepares healthy and delicious lunches and snacks for the children! See Private Lessons for children under 5.  Reservation restrictions apply during peak periods.

Wolf Pups for Skiers

Wolf Pups is an extremely popular ski program designed for children ages 5 to 8 and is appropriate for beginners to advanced skiers. All classes and terrain management are based on skill level.  The Wolf Pup ticket includes an all-day, all-mountain lift ticket* and your choice of either two or four hours of professional instruction specifically geared to children.  A full day (four hours of instruction) includes lunch and snacks.

Equipment rental is not included but is available at the Wolf Pup building for convenience. Wolf Pup rentals can be paid for at the Ticket Office when purchasing the Wolf Pup Ticket.

 

Full Day (4 hours of instruction) $92

*After class, Wolf Pups must be accompanied by a parent on all lifts.  The Nova Chair is the only exception.

Wolf Riders for Snowboarders

Wolf Riders for Snowboarders
Wolf Riders pilot program is equivalent to our renowned children’s ski school, Wolf Pups.  Wolf Riders is a pilot snowboard program for children ages 5 to 8 and teaches kids the basics of snowboarding to advance technique and skills.  All classes and terrain management are based on skill level.  The Wolf Rider ticket includes an all-day, all-mountain lift ticket* and your choice of either two or four hours of professional instruction specifically geared to children.  A full day (four hours of instruction) includes lunch and snacks.

Equipment rental is not included but is available at the Boarder Dome. Wolf Rider rentals can be paid for at the Boarder Dome.

Ski and Snowboard Lessons for Children Ages 9 to 12

1st Day Beginner Package
– Ski/Snowboard Ability Level A

This package is ideal for those who have never skied or snowboarded before. This package is designed for skiers and snowboarders ages 9 and older. Includes an all-day lift ticket to the Nova and Lynx Lifts (beginner lifts), four hours of professional instruction (from 10 a.m. to noon, and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) and access to the Raven, Elma and Charity Lifts after 3 p.m. Skiers will learn how to glide in a wedge and come to controlled stops, while snowboarders learn to heel-slip and stop. Upon acquiring these skills, students will then learn how to load and unload the beginner lifts and navigate green terrain. Does not include equipment rental.

Hot Shots

This program is available to adventurous children ages 9 to 12 years old, who are more than beginners. Hot Shots venture all over the mountain according to ability and speed. These children are taught by instructors who work well with that age group. Instruction for both skiing and snowboarding is available. Earn gold, silver and bronze medals with daily progression. Includes an all-day – all-mountain lift ticket. Does not include equipment rental.
