Prospector Ridge, The Glory Hole & Boundary Bowl

Prospector Ridge: Moderately Steep with a cornice drop that requires a minimum ability of advanced intermediate
The Glory Hole & Boundary Bowl: Longer, rolling pitches that often feature small rock drops that requires a minimum ability of advanced intermediate

Montezuma Bowl: Short but steep pitch with rock outcroppings that is for expert ability only
Peak Chutes: Extremely steep with tight chutes and cliffs that is for expert ability only
          Also accessible from above – drop down the skiers left side of Albert Peak

Step Bowl

πŸ₯Ύ The Trek
Exit right at the top of the Alberta Lift.  From there climb to the ridgeline and take a right at the Ski Patrol Building.  A 15-minute hike gives access to numerous spots to drop in as well as several cornices
          Also accessible from dropping down the skier’s right side of Alberta Peak.  Enjoyable alternative to returning to base area

Knife Ridge

Exit right at the top of the Alberta Lift.  From there climb to the ridgeline and take a left at the Ski Patrol Building.  A 15-minute hike gives access to numerous chutes and spots to drop
          Also accessible from dropping down the skier’s right side of Alberta Peak.  Enjoyable alternative to returning to base area

Horseshoe Bowl

45 minute hike from the top of the Alberta Lift over the Knife Ridge, past the saddle and up into the bowl
          After large storm cycles the Horseshoe Bowl Snowcat Shuttle will pick up skiers and boarders at the Dog Chutes and transport them to the Horseshoe Bowl – operating hours on home page and snow report page as well as Treasure Stoke and Alberta Lifts

Nordic Trails at Wolf Creek

The beautiful Alberta Park Area has over six miles of complimentary cross-country trails for cross country skiers, skate skiers and snowshoers. Tracks are groomed regularly for both classic and skate skiers. Below are some highlights of the Nordic loops.

Nordic Loops

  • Red Trail – 1 mi.
  • Green Trail – 1.5 mi.
  • Blue Trail – 3.7 mi.

Furry Friends

  • Dogs are welcome
  • Pick up after them

  • Accessing the trails
    • Trail access is located at the end of the Alberta Parking Lot
    • Beginner Nordic Skiers should walk to the trails
  • Use the Buddy System
    • The area is not patrolled
  • Allow time to complete your tour before dark

Normally lifts are open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; however there are periods of time when this schedule does not apply. The public may see lifts opening at 9:00 a.m. early season or during a big storm cycle.
